Last week my husband and two grandchildren and I were returning to North Carolina after vacationing in Boston. The kidlets were great little travelers, but our final day on the road they were getting pretty restless strapped into their confining child restraint seats. Along I-81 in Virginia I noticed a sign marking the Appalachian Trial. “Hey kids! Wanna go hiking along the Appalachian Trail?”
Their cheers were deafening! Out of the car we jumped and into the woods we scrambled. Four year old Helene chanted “We’re going on safari! We’re going on safari!” Six year old Louis embraced the great outdoors by carefully scrutinizing countless leaves, twigs, rocks, trees and crawly creatures. Our entire expedition was only a couple of miles but we all enjoyed it immensely! We hadn’t been back on the road again for even ten minutes when I heard from the the back seat “Grammy I ITCH!” and “Yeah me too-all over my legs and some on my arms.”
My husband and I exchanged worried glances. After just a moment’s thought, I dug into my purse and pulled out the tube of SkinFare Topical Nourishment I’d bought at Walgreens the day before we left on our trip and passed it back to Helene. “Here sweetie rub this on your itchies” She loved the idea and used it liberally, remarking with delight that it smelled like ‘Fairy flowers’. I told her to share it with her brother, but he immediately announced that he wasn’t going to put any LIPstick on HIS arms and legs. Little Helene yelled impatiently “It’s not LIPstick, silly. It’s FEEL GOOD STICK! Try it!”
He did and it worked wonders! The special soothing ingredients in SkinFare saved their tender skin and saved the day for two tired grandparents! Thanks for coming to our rescue!
